FINANCIAL DOCUMENTS
This page provides copies of the annual statutory financial documents which the Parish Council is obliged to publish. Most documents available for download here are in PDF format but some are Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. If you require copies in another format or seek paper copies, please contact the Clerk at [email protected]. The Parish Council reserves the right to charge for paper copies in line with its Freedom of Information Charging Scheme at £0.20 per sheet.
Pursuant to Regulation 9 of the Local Audit (Smaller Authorities) Regulations 2015, East Cowton Parish Council has certified itself as exempt from the requirement to have a limited assurance review or to submit an Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR) to an external auditor and has submitted a completed Certificate of Exemption for the 2022/23 financial year to the external auditor. A copy can be inspected by downloading a copy of the certificate (AGAR page 3) below.
Regulation 15(2) of the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015 obliges smaller authorities to publish a set list of documents. These include an Internal Audit Report (AGAR page 4), an Annual Governance Statement (AGAR page 5) and an Accounting Statement (AGAR page 6), all of which are available to download below as part of the AGAR.
Local electors and interested persons have certain legal rights in relation to the Parish Council’s records including the right to inspect the accounting records and supporting documents for the financial year. For full details please download the Notice of Public Rights below. Documents will be available for inspection on application between 14th June and 25th July 2023
